The application and permitting process coupled with plan review and inspections are part of the holistic approach to community risk reduction utilized by the Pinetop Fire District. This multi-faceted process is utilized to accomplish code compliance, increased life-safety, and risk reduction, all in the name of creating and maintaining a resilient and safe community.
The Prevention Division issues two types of permits based on the 2015 International Fire Code: operational and construction.
Operational permits allow the applicant to conduct an operation or a business for which a permit is required by the 2015 International Fire Code Section 105.6. Contact the Prevention Division at 928-367-2199 with questions in regards to the specific activities or operations that require an operational permit.
Construction permits allow the applicant to install or modify systems and equipment for new construction and tenant improvement projects. A permit will not be issued until the submitted plans and specifications have been reviewed, approved, and stamped by the Pinetop Fire District. The submittal process includes the following requirements:
